| B.A. in English Literature at University of Alaska Anchorage, with a minor in Psychology, Graduate Profession Certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), currently serving as a Teaching Assistant while completing a M.A. She enjoys teaching Methods of Written Communications, tutoring in the Writing Center, and tutoring adults in ESL. She has written a weekly column for an Alaska newspaper, had her poetry published in an academic journal, and was selected to present her work at Student Showcase at UAA. After completing her M.A., she hopes to continue teaching English courses at UAA. |

| Rebecca Knighton is from Anchorage, Alaska, where she completed her BA in English Literature from UAA. She is currently a teaching assistant in the English Department and is teaching ENGL 111. Her masters thesis is exploring contemporary narrative, with a special focus on film. After graduating in Spring 2009, Rebecca plans to pursue her PhD somewhere that will allow her to continue her study of film narrative. |

| Derek La Shot is from Kenai, Alaska and completed his BA in Psychology with a minor in literature at Eastern Washington University. In addition to his coursework, he teaches English 111 as a Teaching Assistant. He has research interests in modernism and contemporary fiction/film, and plans to write his thesis on Cormac McCarthy. After graduation in 2009, he plans to either pursue creative writing or continue his graduate studies. |
