Cynthia Deike-Sims received her B.A. in Journalism and Public Communications with a minor in Justice at the University of Alaska. She is completing her M.A. degree in English Literature and works as a Teaching Assistant for the English Department. Her interests include satire and modernist literature and poetry, with explorations into the First World War, Jewish, and Alaska Native literatures. She favors digitization and audio formats for poetic works and records poetry for online forums. She has presented papers at Pacific Rim Literature and Rhetoric, The Red River World Literature, and Columbia University (Humanities). She is accepted to present her thesis work on William Blake and Isaac Rosenberg in WA at Visionary Landscapes: The Electronic Literature Organization Conference in May of 2008.

Colette Grower is from Wasilla, Alaska. She completed her BSN at Alaska Methodist University and her MPA at UAA Anchorage. She is currently a Nursing Consultant for the State of Alaska. Collette loves books and history, and the MA in English Literature seemed perfect for her. She will probably teach part time in retirement. |
